The Music Room offers one of the finest acoustic spaces in Canada. The Music Room accommodates an audience of 110, houses a 9-foot New York-built Steinway grand piano (Model D) and boasts 24-track digital recording for live or session recording.

The Music Room is a rental facility and can be rented for a variety or purposes: concerts, rehearsals, recordings, meetings, seminars & weddings.

Myles Goodwyn, Basia Bulat, Jason Collett (Broken Social Scene), K-OS, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Christopher Ward, Al Tuck, Michale Graves (Misfits), Cousins, Denise Djokic and Jill Barber are a few of the artists who have graced our stage.

The Mosaïque project We open our series with the award-winning piano quartet, Ensemble Made in Canada. Two of its members are well-known to audiences of Scotia Festival: Elissa Lee and Sharon Wei. In addition to Brahms’s stormy masterpiece, they will play music from their extraordinary new Mosaïque project, a newly-commissioned suite of piano quartets, by 14 Canadian composers, each inspired by a region of Canada.
