Complete Beethoven Violin Sonatas, Part 1 | Music Room Chamber Players Series

Our season ends with a “micro-festival” - beloved Scotia Festival artists Airi Yoshioka and John Novacek with the complete cycle of  Beethoven sonatas. These works span a large part of Beethoven’s compositional life, from the early sonatas written under the influence of Haydn, to the stormy and virtuosic “Kreutzer” and the searching final sonata, Op. 96, which opens the door to the world of Beethoven’s late masterpieces for string quartet. A rare chance to witness a superb complete performance of this important body of work!

ON THE PROGRAM

Sonata No. 6 in A Major, Op. 30, No. 1
Sonata No. 8 in G Major, Op. 30, No. 3
Sonata No. 9 in A Major, Op. 47 ("Kreutzer")

Airi Yoshioka, violin; John Novacek, piano
